20.7.1969 First man on the moon With the landing on the moon, one of man’s dreams has finally come true. Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin described their impressions with the following words: “A small step for man, - a big step for mankind!” It also meant that the USA had won the race to the moon against the Soviet Union.
